Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the world. Divided into two categories, non-melanoma and malignant melanoma, skin cancer can be caused by exposure to sunlight and the damage caused by UV rays. Because of this, people with paler skin are at higher risk of developing skin cancer, as they are more vulnerable to sun damage. Non-melanoma skin cancers are slower to develop, whereas malignant melanoma can be more aggressive.
