What is Q-switched Nd:YAG laser?
By definition, a Q-switched (Q-switched Nd:YAG laser) involves the use of a laser to create pulses. Unlike traditional laser pointers that emit a continuous beam, Q-switch lasers create laser beam pulses that last billionths of a second. In a very short period of time, energy from the laser is released and becomes concentrated into extremely powerful bursts.
The powerful, brief pulses have two key benefits:
