Skinpen & PRP2020-03-07T23:36:33+00:00

At Dermasurge, we offer a wide range of treatments for smoother, healthier skin. Any one of these treatments carries with it a myriad of benefits to the skin, but when combined, these effects are only amplified.

One of our most popular combination treatments combine microneedling using skinpen with platelet rich plasma, or PRP. Combining these two treatments will give you flawless, beautiful, yet natural-looking rejuvenation.

What does Skinpen & PRP combination treatment do?

SkinPen is the only FDA-approved microneedling device available on the market. SkinPen penetrates the skin barrier with tiny, sterile needles to induce the natural healing process. This creates hundreds of “micro-wounds” in the skin, resulting in the natural production of collagen and elastin proteins for plump, youthful skin. The natural healing process works to minimise lines and wrinkles, scarring, uneven skin tone, and improve the overall texture of the skin.

During your consultation, our consultant dermatologist, Dr Hiba Injibar, can recommend the best combination treats for your unique skin concerns.

For best results when combining skinpen with PRP, it is best to begin PRP treatment one week after the initial skinpen is carried out, and usually three sessions spaced one month apart is recommended.

PRP, commonly known as the vampire facial, utilises the benefits of the patient’s own blood, using the body’s natural resources for a natural, effective rejuvenation. When employed after microneedling using skinpen, PRP can be used to encourage the growth of healthy skin cells whilst healing from the microneedling treatment. This provides a more comprehensive overhaul of the complexion.

At Dermasurge, we pride ourself on offering patients treatments that really work to meet their needs. This begins with their consultation, during which Dr Injibar will assess the condition of the skin in order to provide the most accurate, effective treatments.
