Also known as glabella lines, frown lines are one of the most common skin concerns my patients look to treat. Characterised as lines that appear between the eyebrows, frown lines are a natural part of the process of ageing. The older we get, the less able our skin is able to produce collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are proteins in the skin, and are responsible for keeping the skin healthy and repairing any damage. When our reserves deplete, the skin is less able to remain smooth and healthy when faced with the wear and tear of everyday life, such as the repetitive motion of the eyebrows.
