What does the treatment do?
During the procedure, small doses of botulinum toxin are injected into the muscles of the target area, paralysing them and allowing the overlying skin to lie smoother for a more youthful appearance. This treatment is commonly used to improve the appearance of glabellar lines (between the brows), lines on the forehead, crow’s feet, marionette lines, and smoker’s lines, as well as lifting and tightening the neck and jaw, amongst other skin concerns.

The use of injectables can be in many different procedures to correct a range of skin conditions. Traditionally used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, using these types of injections can also be used to treat eyebrow asymmetry and brow lifts, jaw and neck tightening, excessive sweating, and gummy smiles, amongst others. A thorough consultation with the doctor has to be conducted first.
This treatment is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those with sensitivity to botulinum toxin. During your initial consultation with Dr Hiba, your full suitability will be assessed.
Botulinum toxin injections are a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that takes around 15 minutes to complete, and there is no downtime. Most patients are able to return to their normal routine the same day, though they should take caution. Results may be visible immediately, but will take around 7 days to become fully apparent.
Injectable treatments at Dermasurge lasts between 4 to 6 months, after which repeat treatment is required to maintain results. This varies from person to person, depending on how your body reacts.
